Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA)This program consists of two residential programs serving up to 16 adults with epilepsy and/or other developmental disabilities who need help in day to day living (24 hours a day). These two group homes offer activities of daily living, shopping, socialization and the opportunity to live in residential neighborhoods like other peers without disabilities. This program has been in existence since 1990. Each home is staffed by direct care personnel who help the individuals learn to cook, provide transportation to doctor appointments, and assist individuals with medication administration on a 24 hours basis. There is also a residential manager/LPN who oversees the daily operations of the two group homes. In addition a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) is responsible for drawing up an individualized service plan to meet all of the needs of each individual in the program. This program ensures that individuals do not reside in nursing homes or other large institutions. |
