Kids Speak Up!
Tim Finnegan and Katy Thompson recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to tell lawmakers about their experiences with epilepsy. Tim and Katy and 50 young people from across the country participated in Kids Speak Up!, sponsored by the Epilepsy Foundation. They urged Congress to raise funding to increase awareness about the condition and ultimately find a cure for epilepsy.

Students in Juanita Cox's health classes at Escambia County High School recently participated in the Epilepsy Foundation's National Epilepsy Awareness program for teens "Seizures and You: Take Charge of the Facts."

Our Mission
The Epilepsy Foundation of South Alabama is a voluntary, nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals affected by epilepsy in 28 counties across South Alabama.
A nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, the Epilepsy Foundation of South Alabama has as its mission to educate and support individuals with epilepsy and their families, to increase awareness in the general community and to facilitate prevention and management of epilepsy. This includes providing services and programs for people with epilepsy and their families; educating and increasing awareness about epilepsy; providing leadership in advocacy for epilepsy issues and collaborating with other community resources in support of the mission of the people with seizure disorders.
