Event Update
The 1st Annual Saratoga Stroll for Epilepsy was held on Sunday, September 27th at the beautiful Thank you also to Kohl’s of Walkers also enjoyed a bouncy bounce provided by Price Chopper, a magician, trolley rides compliments of Horsin Around Trolleys, music provided by WVCR 88.3 The Saint, and even Lewis the Duck, the mascot for Homewood Suites on Wolf Rd joined in on the fun! The 6th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT was held on Monday, October 5th, at Wolfert’s Roost Country Club. We are pleased to announce that the event was once again SOLD OUT and raised over $37,000! Andrew Catalon, Sports Anchor for WNYT NewsChannel 13, was Master of Ceremonies. October proved once again that it is a great time to golf! Golfers enjoyed a BBQ lunch on the terrace, an afternoon of golf, hand rolled cigars by Habanna Premium Cigars, chair massages on the course provided by The Ivy Spa, all followed by the Awards Reception where prizes were awarded to the top 6 foursomes (yes, that's 6, not 3!). Golfers also had the chance to win a lease on a 3 Series BMW compliments of Capital Cities BMW (unfortunately, no one won), other hole contest prizes, raffle prizes, including a chance to win a 52" HD Flat Screen TV (the winner of this great prize was Bill D. of Lake George), and a live auction. The Annual Dinner was held on Thursday, November 19th at Wolferts Roost Parent Support Group is held at the Foundation office, located at Teen To Teen is a social teen support group for teens with epilepsy ages 13-19. Family Education & Training (FET) Topic: School Seminar - How to Successfully Partner with your Child's School. Topics covered include transition planning, preparing for a successful IEP, and knowing your rights and responsibilities under new regulations. Stroll for Epilepsy - Dutchess to Ulster County This first annual walk will take place over the Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge, connecting Dutchess and Ulster Counties! The stroll will start and end on the Dutchess side. Registration is required; $25 registration fee, children 12 and under free. Bowl for Epilepsy NOTE NEW DATE! Annual bowlathon held at Sunset Recreation, 1160 Central Avenue, Albany. Light dinner served prior to bowling (5-5:45pm), bowling begins at 6pm. Pre-registration required. No registration fee, however, we do request that bowlers collect donations and bring evening of event. Information and registration form will be mailed in April/May. 7th Annual Epilepsy Golf Tournament The 7th Annual Epilepsy Golf Tournament will be held at Wolferts Roost Country Club, Albany.
