Below is a description of the current programs and services of the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona. While the list does not include each activity and every event, it does provide an overview of the purpose of each program. Camp Candlelight
Summer camp for children ages eight to fifteen with epilepsy.
 
Community and Professional Education Programs
Speakers, workshops and in-service programs.
 
Epilepsy 101
This presentation, for newly diagnosed patients and their families, discusses types of seizures, diagnostic tests, treatment options, resources and personal experiences from the H.O.P.E. Mentor.
 
First Responders Program
The First Responders Program, for Ambulance Drivers and EMTs, covers seizure types, first aid, and treatment options utilizing a speaker, DVD, and workbook.
 
Flame of Hope Fundraiser
The Flame of Hope is an important reminder to persevere for those individuals with epilepsy and those who want to perpetuate the mission of the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona. We are looking for sponsors to assist with printing costs of the paper Flames, as well as retail outlets in Arizona who would partner to sell the $1 paper Flames.
 
H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People with Epilepsy)
Speaking program to enable people with epilepsy to educate others and share experiences.
 
Information and Referral (I&R)
Information and Referral (I&R) provides persons with epilepsy, their families and service providers with accurate, current information about the disorder.
 
Law Enforcement Program
Training on seizure recgonizition, correct response to seizures in the community, and on the unique needs of people with epilepsy who are taken into custody for any reason.
 
Operation Outreach Veterans Program
The Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona has partnering with the Veterans Administration (VA) to reach veterans returning to Arizona who have Traumatic Brain Injuries and post traumatic stress syndrome, and may develop epilepsy, and their families.
 
Scholarships
Scholarships for individuals with epilepsy.
 
School Programs
Learn how the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona can educate teachers, nurses, staff and/or students.
 
Seniors and Seizures
Seizure disorder is as likely to begin in a person's sixties, seventies and eighties as it is during the first ten years of life.

Protecting the rights of people with epilepsy and seizure disorders.
